Quick Take
Quincy / Braintree (I-93 South)
The suburban chain-hotel corridor south of the city along I-93 and Route 3, from the Neponset River through Quincy to the Braintree split. Free parking everywhere, Red Line access, and 20-40 minutes to the cruiseport by road.
Logan Airport Area (East Boston, Revere, Chelsea)
The airport hotel cluster across the harbour from the Seaport: on-airport hotels in East Boston, the Route 1A strip into Revere, and the Chelsea suites hotels off Route 1. 10-25 minutes to the cruiseport through the Ted Williams Tunnel.
Downtown / Financial District
Boston's core between the Common and the harbour: Faneuil Hall, the Financial District, South Station. About two miles and a 10-minute taxi from the cruise terminal, with the Silver Line from South Station as the cheap link.
Seaport / South Boston
The redeveloped waterfront district between Fort Point Channel and the cruise terminal: convention centre, new-build chain hotels on D Street and Summer Street, harbour-side restaurants on Northern Avenue. The only district you can walk to the ship from.
