North Dallas
The US-75 and Dallas North Tollway corridors running north from the city, from Park Central up to Addison. This is where Dallas's cheapest weekly-stay and pet-friendly rooms are — studios with kitchenettes from the high forties — at the cost of a long drive to anything central.
DFW Airport / Irving
The hotel strip along John Carpenter Freeway and Esters Boulevard in Irving, two to three miles from DFW's terminals, plus the Las Colinas office belt behind it. Free parking and free airport shuttles are near-universal here, and the base rates are the lowest of any airport cluster in the metroplex.
Love Field / Medical District
The Stemmons Freeway and Mockingbird Lane corridor north-west of downtown, serving both Dallas Love Field and the Southwestern Medical District. This is where Dallas's budget hotel value actually sits — free parking is standard, chains are plentiful, and both the airport and the hospitals are a ten-minute drive.
Downtown Dallas
The central business district, Dealey Plaza and Deep Ellum. Walkable, well served by DART, and the base most first-time visitors assume they want — but it is the one part of Dallas with essentially no budget hotel stock, and the parking charges make the gap wider than the room rates suggest.
