Hotels with a kitchenette for a week-long stay in Nashville

1The situation
You're in Nashville for a week or more — a contract at Vanderbilt or HCA, a hospital stay, a relocation scouting trip, a run of studio sessions — and a city where a hot chicken lunch is $18 will make eating out cost more than the room. The difference between a real kitchen (a cooktop, a full-size fridge, a sink you can wash a pan in) and a 'kitchenette' (a mini-fridge and a microwave) is $30-50 a day. Nashville's extended-stay supply splits cleanly: Extended Stay America on West End and in the airport cluster at $80-120 with full kitchens and a weekly rate you have to ask for, and the TownePlace/Residence Inn/Home2 tier in Midtown and downtown at $140-250 with better breakfasts and paid parking. Know which one you're booking, and book the week as one reservation.
2What you actually need
A real kitchen, not a 'kitchenette'
Ask how many burners, how big the fridge is and whether cookware is in the room or at the desk. Extended Stay America suites have a cooktop and full fridge with cookware on request; TownePlace suites have full kitchens with dishwashers; most 'kitchenette' listings at ordinary chains mean a mini-fridge and a microwave.
The 7-night rate, asked for by name
Extended-stay brands price in breakpoints — nightly, 7+ nights, 30+ nights — and booking sites mostly show the nightly one. Call the property, say how many nights, and ask for the weekly rate. It is often 15-30% lower.
Housekeeping cadence you can live with
Budget extended-stays clean weekly by default with towel swaps on request; the Marriott-tier suites clean more often. Ask what a mid-week clean costs if it matters. It is one reason the rate is low.
On-site guest laundry
A week means laundry. Machines on site turn a laundromat trip into $5 and an hour. Reviews will tell you whether they work.
A grocery store within a short walk or a 5-minute drive
Kroger and Publix are the local chains, with stores on West End, Charlotte Avenue and near the airport cluster; a kitchen only saves money if it is stocked. Check the map before booking.
3The shortlist3 hotels, cheapest first
Each hotel is here because it meets the requirements above — not because of its star rating. Prices are nightly rates before tax for the default dates; volatile facts (shuttles, parking terms) are stated as what to confirm, not as promises.
1.Extended Stay America Select Suites - Nashville - Airport
1.8 mi from Nashville International Airport (BNA) · 2525 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, 37214
Extended Stay2.5-star
7.1/10164
A full kitchen (stovetop, microwave, fridge, cookware on request), free parking and on-site laundry at the lowest weekly rate in the city — OTA nightly rates start around $64-72. Note the property has moved to the budget 'Select Suites' tier: no breakfast at all, weekly housekeeping, and a small charge for towel and linen exchange. The trade is a 15-20 minute drive to anything central. Ask for the 7-night rate directly; groceries are a short drive on Murfreesboro Pike.

Typically nightly / 7+ nights / 30+ nights at Extended Stay America, Candlewood, WoodSpring and similar; TownePlace and Residence Inn discount longer stays less steeply. Ask for the 7-night rate directly with the hotel.
Housekeeping
Budget extended-stay brands generally clean weekly with linen exchange on request; Marriott-tier extended-stays clean more often. Confirm the cadence and any charge for extra service directly with the hotel.
Grocery
Kroger on West End and on Charlotte Avenue serve the Midtown hotels; the airport cluster has Kroger and discount grocers along Murfreesboro Pike and Lebanon Pike. Most hotels below are within 1-2 miles of one.
Parking
Free in the airport cluster and, unusually, at the Extended Stay America on West End; paid in Midtown, where TownePlace Suites is $38 a day self-park or $45 valet — about $266 across a week. Ask before booking, and ask whether a weekly parking rate exists. Confirm the current charge directly with the hotel.
Event-week pricing
Extended-stay rates spike with everything else during CMA Fest (June), big downtown concerts and Titans home games. If your week overlaps one, book early and lock the rate as one reservation.
Prices and schedules change. Treat figures as ranges and check before booking.
5What to avoid
⚠️A cheaper nightly rate at a standard hotel that loses to the extended-stay weekly rate after four or five nights once you add food. Price the whole week, room plus meals plus parking.
⚠️'Kitchenette' in a listing without checking what it means. Ask for burners.
⚠️Booking seven separate nights on a booking site — you pay the nightly rate and may be moved rooms mid-stay. Call and book the week as one reservation.
⚠️The downtown Residence Inn/Home2 tier for a week unless someone else is paying: $180-250 a night plus $30-45 parking for the same kitchen that costs $90-120 on West End or Elm Hill Pike.
⚠️Assuming daily housekeeping at a budget extended-stay. It isn't.
6Book
Use the rate links on each hotel above. If a hotel's value depends on a named package (park & cruise, shuttle), confirm the package with the hotel before you pay — packages are usually direct-booking rate codes, not OTA rooms.
