You're driving in from New England, New York or further, sailing for a week from Flynn Cruiseport, and you need somewhere to leave the car. The official cruiseport lot at Black Falcon Avenue is convenient but expensive — budget roughly $20-25 a day, so $140-175 for a 7-night cruise, and check the current rate before you book. Seaport and downtown hotels charge $40-70 a night for guest parking and almost none will hold a car after you check out. The hotels that will hold the car sit outside the city: the airport-area hotels in Revere and Chelsea that already run park-and-fly programs, and the I-93 corridor south through Quincy and Braintree. Boston rarely sells this as a named 'park and cruise' package, so you have to ask.
2What you actually need
Parking for the full length of the cruise, not just your overnight
'Free parking' in a Boston suburb means free while you're a guest. Leaving the car for 7-10 days is a different thing. Airport-area hotels often sell it as a park-stay-fly package and will usually apply the same deal to a cruise — but ask explicitly, get the number of days in writing, and confirm whether it's free or a daily rate.
A realistic way to reach Black Falcon Avenue without the car
Holding the car for free is worthless if you then pay $40-60 each way for a taxi from Braintree with luggage. From the airport hotels the run is 10-20 minutes through the tunnel; from Quincy/Braintree it is 20-40 minutes and more on a weekday morning. Check whether the hotel shuttle goes to the cruise terminal (most go to the airport only), and price the alternative.
The Logan-airport workaround
Most airport-area hotels shuttle to Logan, not the cruiseport. From Logan, a taxi or rideshare to the terminal is 10-15 minutes, or the Silver Line SL1 bus runs from the terminals toward South Station through the Seaport. Two legs, but cheap and predictable — and it makes every park-and-fly hotel a park-and-cruise hotel.
The return leg, on a Saturday or Sunday morning
Disembarkation at Flynn Cruiseport is early and busy. If the hotel shuttle only serves the airport, your return is taxi to Logan then shuttle — confirm the shuttle runs on weekends and how to call it.

Massport's own cruise parking is **$25 a day** at the Fargo Street open-air lot (93 Fargo St) with a courtesy shuttle to the terminal, or **$189 a week** in Lot D3 for ticketed passengers. Two things the listings do not tell you: **it must be booked online before you arrive**, and it is only offered for select homeport sailings. Check Massport's cruiseport parking page for your specific ship before assuming a space.
Seaport / downtown hotel parking
Typically $40-70 per night, mostly valet. Cruise-length parking is almost never offered — confirm directly with the hotel if a listing says otherwise.
Taxi / rideshare to the terminal
Airport hotels: about 10-20 minutes, $20-35. Quincy: 20-30 minutes, $30-45. Braintree: 30-40 minutes, $40-60. Higher on embarkation mornings.
Public transport backup
MBTA Silver Line SL2 from South Station runs along the Seaport toward the Design Center, a short walk from Black Falcon Avenue; SL1 links Logan and South Station. Check current routes and timings — they change.
The port is seasonal
Flynn Cruiseport runs roughly April to November. Outside that window there are no homeport sailings from Boston, and the parking arrangements above do not operate — worth knowing before booking a room around a shoulder-season cruise.
