The 10-mile beachfront boulevard that most Galveston hotels sit on. The east end (1st-25th St) is closest to the cruise terminal and the Strand; the west end past 61st Street is quieter and further from everything.
Budget tip: Every Seawall listing says 'minutes from the cruise terminal'. From the east end that's true (5 minutes); from the west end it's 15-20. Resort fees of $15-30 are common on the beachfront chains and rarely shown in the listed rate.
