The catch is the car. If you are driving in, that CBD room comes with $30-50/night valet and no cruise-length parking, so you will be moving the car to the port garage in the morning. If you are flying in, the CBD wins outright; the Kenner airport hotels only make sense when the park-and-cruise maths work or your flight lands after midnight.
