Cape Liberty Cruise Port occupies the tip of the former Military Ocean Terminal peninsula in Bayonne, New Jersey, looking across the harbor at the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. Royal Caribbean is the home-port line; Celebrity also sails from here on seasonal Bermuda, Caribbean and Canada/New England itineraries. The terminal is about two miles from the Bayonne street grid with no hotels, shops or transit on the peninsula itself.
Budget tip: There is nothing walkable to the pier, so every hotel choice is really a transfer choice. The closest hotels in Bayonne are few and have small lots. The waterfront hotels in Jersey City charge $30-50 a night for parking and hold no cruise cars. The big lots with cruise-parking packages are 20 minutes away on the Newark airport strip or across the bridge on Staten Island. And Manhattan, which every listing site pushes, is the most expensive and slowest option of all.

Watch out: rebranded from Candlewood Suites in 2026, so older reviews describe a different hotel; no cruise parking and no port shuttle.
