Jersey City Waterfront Hotels for a Cape Liberty Cruise
The Jersey City waterfront's transit hub: PATH trains to the World Trade Center in a few minutes, Hudson-Bergen Light Rail south toward Bayonne, ferries to Manhattan, and a skyline view across the river. The hotels here and at neighbouring Newport are the closest thing to a New York evening without a New York bill.
Budget tip: Room rates look reasonable next to Manhattan, but parking runs $30-50 a night, breakfast is usually extra, and none of these hotels hold cruise cars or run a pier shuttle. Good for fly-in cruisers who want a night out; wrong for anyone arriving by car.

Full kitchens and $25 parking make it the cheapest sensible waterfront night before a cruise. Adequate. All-suite, 214 rooms, kitchens with dishwashers and ice makers. Watch out: rebranded from Candlewood Suites in 2026, so older reviews describe a different hotel; no cruise parking and no port shuttle.
