Port Everglades is one of the better-priced big ports: $20 a day, about $160 for a 7-night cruise, in the Heron and Palm garages — no reservations taken, credit card only. That sets a low bar for the hotels to beat, and two of them clear it comfortably: the Cambria in Dania Beach parks you free for up to 14 days, and the Embassy Suites' Park, Stay & Go covers up to seven nights. What you must price separately is the ride, because at this port almost every hotel charges per person for it — $9 a head at the Hyatt Place, $10 at the Cambria and the Four Points, $20 at the Hilton Garden Inn. For a family of four that spread matters more than the parking does.

Parking for the full length of the cruise, not just your overnight
Most Fort Lauderdale airport hotels charge for parking even for guests, and 'free parking' on a listing rarely means seven days after you check out. Cruise-length parking is a named product — 'Park & Cruise', 'Snooze & Cruise', 'Cruise Package'. Ask for it by name and get the number of days in writing.
A shuttle that goes to Port Everglades, not only to FLL
Because the airport and the port are neighbours, many hotels advertise an 'airport/cruise port shuttle' that in practice runs to the airport on demand and to the port only at set times, or only with a package. Confirm the shuttle drops at your terminal.
The return leg
Disembarkation at Port Everglades runs early (roughly 7-10am) and the terminal roads clog. Know whether the hotel picks you up, where, and whether you call ahead — or budget a $15-25 rideshare back to the car.
Where the car actually sits for the week
Some Dania Beach hotels hold cruise cars in an overflow lot or a partner garage rather than the hotel's own lot. Ask whether it is on-site, gated and lit, and whether there is a daily cap on package cars.
