You are in Las Vegas for a week or more — a convention, a contract job, a hospital stay, a house-hunt, a gap between leases — and a Strip hotel is the most expensive possible way to do it. A $35 headline rate is $75-100 once the resort fee lands, because in 2026 every major Strip hotel charges one and they run **$39 to $62 a night including tax**, averaging about $42 before tax and rising 6% year on year. Self-parking is another $20-25 a day, and a standard Strip room has no fridge, so every meal is $15-40 on the casino floor. Off the Strip, Las Vegas has an unusually deep extended-stay supply because so many people move here: Extended Stay America and the Siegel-style weekly chains at $60-90 with a two-burner kitchen, and the Residence Inn / Candlewood / Homewood tier at $95-140 on Paradise Road and Hughes Center Drive. **None of them charge a resort fee, all of them park free**, and the 7-night rate — which you have to ask for — is where the money is.
2What you actually need
A real kitchen, not a 'kitchenette'
Ask specifically: how many burners, how big is the fridge, is there cookware. Extended Stay America and Residence Inn rooms have a two-burner cooktop and full fridge; Candlewood has a full fridge and cooktop too. Tuscany Suites' 'kitchenette' is a fridge, microwave and sink — fine for reheating, not for cooking. Strip 'kitchenettes' are usually a minibar.
The 7-night rate, asked for by name
Extended-stay brands price in breakpoints: nightly, 7+ nights, 30+ nights. The 7-night rate is often 15-30% under the nightly rate and is rarely shown on booking sites. Call the property, say how many nights, and ask for the weekly rate.
No resort fee and free parking
This is the whole Las Vegas trap. Over seven nights a $45 resort fee plus $20 parking is $455 that buys you a pool you will not use. Every hotel on this list except Tuscany has no resort fee; Tuscany's is already in our real price.
On-site guest laundry and a housekeeping cadence you can live with
A week means laundry — coin or card machines on site turn a $20 laundromat trip into $5. Budget extended-stays clean weekly by default; the Residence Inn tier cleans more often. Ask what the cadence is and what a mid-week clean costs.
A grocery store within a 5-minute drive
A kitchen is only a saving if you stock it. Smith's, Albertsons and Vons have stores on Flamingo, Paradise, Tropicana and Sahara; there is one within 1-2 miles of every hotel below. Check the map before booking.

In Clark County, stays of 30 or more consecutive nights at the same property are generally exempt from the transient lodging tax. It does not help a one-week stay but matters at a month — ask the hotel how they handle it.
Event-week pricing
Extended-stay rates rise during CES, EDC, major fights and the F1 weekend, though far less than the Strip. If your week overlaps, book early and lock the rate.
Resort fees
The number that decides everything in Las Vegas. As of 2026 **every major Strip hotel charges one**, from about **$39 to $62 a night including tax** — roughly $40-55 before the 13.38% room tax. The average across about ninety Las Vegas hotels is **$42.36 before tax, up 6% in twelve months** from $39.90. The top tier — Wynn, Bellagio, Aria, Caesars Palace, Cosmopolitan, Venetian, Resorts World, Fontainebleau — sits at $55 before tax, about $62.36 with it. **The Four Seasons is the only notable Strip property with no resort fee at all.** None of the extended-stay or off-Strip chain hotels on our shortlists charge one. Confirm the current figure before booking — it is never in the headline rate.

5What to avoid
⚠️A cheap Strip nightly rate for a week. Add the resort fee, parking and three casino-floor meals a day and a $35 room costs $200 a day; an extended-stay at $90 with a kitchen comes in at half that.
⚠️'Kitchenette' in a listing without checking what it means. Ask for burners.
⚠️Booking seven separate nights on a booking site. You will pay the nightly rate and may be moved rooms mid-stay. Call the hotel and book the week as one reservation.
⚠️Very cheap weekly motels on Boulder Highway and East Fremont without reading recent reviews. Some are fine; some are the reason the rate is $45. Pay the extra $20-40 for a brand you know.
⚠️Assuming daily housekeeping at a budget extended-stay. It is weekly, and complaining about it in the reviews does not change the brand's model.
