A park-and-cruise package bundles one night, parking for the length of the cruise and usually a shuttle to PortMiami. In Miami it is the best-value product for drive-in cruisers, because the alternative — the port garages at $25-35 a day, roughly $200-280 for a week — is among the most expensive in the country. The packages live almost entirely in the airport cluster, where the hotels have surface lots. Compare the package against room plus $200-280 of port parking plus transfers, not against the hotel's own room rate. And read the transfer terms rather than the parking terms: the parking is genuinely free inside these packages, but the shuttle is $12-15 a head, often outbound only, and usually has to be arranged by check-in.

Most cover 7 or 8 days. Longer cruises need an add-on at a daily rate, and some hotels cap the total. Get the number in writing.

How many people the shuttle seats are for
Packages are usually priced per room for two. A family of five with six bags may need two shuttle slots or a paid upgrade; ask before you're standing in the lobby.
Cancellation terms

Package rate vs (room rate + $200-280 port parking for a 7-night cruise + $24-60 in port transfers for two). Run it for your own dates and terminal — Garage AA and Norwegian's Garage B at $35 a day make the package win by a wider margin than the $25 common-use garages do.

No Miami hotel publishes a package rate card, so treat any figure as indicative. What is documented is the parking length, and it is generous: 14 days at Holiday Inn Miami International Airport, a full week at Red Roof PLUS+ (then $16 a day), up to seven nights at the Hampton Blue Lagoon. Packages are direct-booking rate codes, not OTA rooms.
Port parking alternative
It depends which terminal, and the spread is wide. PortMiami's published long-term rates are $25 per day at Garages C, D, F, G and Surface Lot E; $35 per day at Garage AA; and $35 per vehicle per space per day at Garage B (Norwegian), effective 1 January 2025. Garage A (Royal Caribbean) is bookable online only. So a 7-night cruise runs roughly $200 at the cheaper garages and about $280 at Garage AA or B — not the $150-175 this page used to claim. Oversized vehicles use Surface Lot E at $25 per space per day, or $50 if you take two spaces. Clearance heights run from 6'8" to 9'6" depending on garage and floor. **Debit cards are not accepted** — cash, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover or a major US traveller's cheque only. A lost ticket costs up to $275. Confirm current rates with the port before you travel.
Who runs packages
Documented: Holiday Inn Miami International Airport (Miami Springs), Red Roof PLUS+ Miami Airport and Hampton Inn & Suites Blue Lagoon. Hilton Blue Lagoon and Best Western Plus Miami Airport North both run a paid port shuttle and advertise cruise stays but publish no package terms. No package or port shuttle could be sourced for the Sheraton Miami Airport. Downtown, Brickell and Miami Beach hotels don't run them at all.

5What to avoid
⚠️Judging the package by the nightly rate alone. A $219 package beats a $139 downtown room once $40 overnight parking, $160 of port parking and transfers are added.
