Port Canaveral hotels with a shuttle to the cruise terminal

Verification pending — confirm directly with the hotel

1The situation

You're flying into Orlando, or you've dropped the rental car, and you want the last leg to the ship handled. No Port Canaveral hotel is within walking distance of the terminals, so a terminal shuttle is the whole reason to pick one A1A hotel over another. But 'cruise shuttle' hides three different things: a hotel-owned van on a schedule, a single departure per ship that you must reserve, or a third-party service the front desk 'can arrange' for a fee. Only the first two are worth planning around — and you also need to solve the 45-mile airport leg, which hotel shuttles almost never cover.

2What you actually need

  1. Shuttle departure times that match your cruise line's arrival window

A shuttle that leaves once, early, either dumps you at the terminal before it opens or misses your window. Get the departure time for your ship in writing at booking.

  2. Whether the shuttle goes to your terminal

Port Canaveral's terminals are spread around the port and Disney, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and MSC use different ones. Most hotel shuttles serve all of them, but confirm the hotel knows your ship and terminal.

  3. Whether it is included, reserved, or first-come

On a Saturday with several ships in port the shuttle fills. Capacity is usually per room for two guests; larger groups may need an extra slot or a paid upgrade. Reserve in writing.

  4. A separate plan for the airport leg

MCO is about 45 miles and 45-60 minutes west. Hotel shuttles do not go there. Budget for a shared shuttle, rideshare, or the cruise line's transfer, and compare that against simply renting a car one-way.

3The shortlist6 hotels, cheapest first

Each hotel is here because it meets the requirements above — not because of its star rating. Prices are nightly rates before tax for the default dates; volatile facts (shuttles, parking terms) are stated as what to confirm, not as promises.

1.Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cocoa Beach

The package shuttle runs outbound between 10:30am and noon and picks up from 7am on your return — narrow bands rather than a loop, so your cruise line's arrival window has to fit them. Get the time in writing and ask about the return pickup point.

4Practical logistics

Orlando International (MCO) to Port Canaveral
About 45 miles via SR-528 (tolled); 45-60 minutes in normal traffic. Shared shuttles run roughly $20-40 per person each way; a rideshare is typically $55-130 per car with Saturday surge; a private van for 10-14 is roughly $140-185 for the vehicle. Almost no hotel shuttle covers this leg. Confirm before booking.
Cape Canaveral (A1A) hotels to terminal
About a mile; 5-10 minutes. This is the cluster where hotel shuttles are most common — and where they are charged per person: roughly $6 a head at the Radisson (included for up to four with its cruise parking), $9 plus tax each way at Country Inn & Suites, and $10-12 a head each way at Homewood Suites and the Residence Inn. Confirm the fare and the departure time when you book.
Cocoa Beach hotels to terminal
Roughly 2-6 miles from the north end, 7-9 from the south; 10-20 minutes. The Hampton Inn and the Courtyard both run a terminal shuttle for a surcharge (about $12 per person at the Hampton); the Holiday Inn Express and Best Western fold transfers into their packages, with the Holiday Inn Express running outbound between 10:30am and noon and return pickups from 7am. Rideshare is typically $18-30 with luggage. Confirm times directly with the hotel.
Rideshare backup
Plan one. Surge pricing on embarkation mornings is common, most of these shuttles run a single departure band rather than a loop, and a missed slot is not the hotel's problem.

Prices and schedules change. Treat figures as ranges and check before booking.

5What to avoid

  • Booking a 'shuttle hotel' without a written departure time. If the confirmation email doesn't name the time, you don't have a shuttle.
  • Assuming the hotel shuttle will collect you from MCO. Almost none do; that leg is on you.
  • Cocoa Beach listings that say 'minutes from the port' — from the south end it's 20 minutes, and longer on a multi-ship Saturday.
  • Relying on a single shuttle slot on a holiday weekend without a rideshare plan B.

6Book

Use the rate links on each hotel above. If a hotel's value depends on a named package (park & cruise, shuttle), confirm the package with the hotel before you pay — packages are usually direct-booking rate codes, not OTA rooms.
