Downtown Seattle is one of the most expensive places in the country to park — hotel parking runs $40-60 a night and no downtown hotel we could find holds a car for the length of a cruise. The port's own lots are better than that reputation suggests: Pier 91 sells a seven-day economy zone for about **$187** including taxes, the shuttle to your ship and luggage help, while Pier 66 is $30 a day plus tax. That is the number the hotel packages have to beat, and the SeaTac hotels do — the DoubleTree's Park, Stay and Go works out around **$14 a night, roughly $100 for seven nights**. The catch is the ride: at 15-18 miles out, you are relying on Seattle Express, the one shared-shuttle operator serving these hotels, and its last departure is around midday.
2What you actually need
Know your terminal before you book: Pier 66 or Pier 91
Norwegian and Oceania use Pier 66 (Bell Street, downtown). Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival, Holland America and Princess use Pier 91 (Smith Cove, Interbay). A package shuttle may serve one, both, or only one on certain days. Your cruise documents say which terminal; the hotel must confirm it serves it.
Parking for the full cruise length, named as a package
'Free parking' on a listing means free while you are a guest. Cruise parking means the car stays 7-10 days after you check out. In Seattle that is almost always a named 'Park & Cruise' or 'Park, Stay & Cruise' rate code at an airport-area hotel. Ask for it by name, and get the number of days in writing.
A confirmed ride to the terminal — 15 miles is not a walk
SeaTac to either pier is 15-18 miles and 30-60 minutes depending on I-5 traffic. A rideshare with luggage is $45-70 each way. If the package shuttle isn't included and confirmed, the free parking has just cost you $100+ in transfers.
The return leg, and a late flight or a post-cruise night
Ships disembark early in the morning. Confirm whether the package includes a pickup at the terminal, where you wait, and what happens if the ship docks late. Some packages are outbound only.

RV/overheight and wheelchair-transport zones are available, and it is reservable online. **Pier 66 (Bell Street)** is run by Republic Parking at **$30 a day plus tax**, bookable online or on 206-443-1793. So a week is roughly $187-$329 at Pier 91 and about $240 plus tax at Pier 66 — book the pier your ship actually uses, and confirm current rates before you travel.

Which pier does your ship use?
Get this right before you book a hotel. **Pier 91 (Smith Cove)** is homeport for Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, MSC, Princess, Royal Caribbean and Virgin Voyages — most of the 2026 fleet. **Pier 66 (Bell Street)** is used by Norwegian and Oceania, and most Cunard Queen Elizabeth calls. They are three miles apart and only Pier 66 is walkable from downtown hotels. A new elevated walkway at Pier 66 is expected during 2026, and shore power becomes mandatory for all Seattle-homeported ships from 2027.
